I enjoyed this immensely. I'm designing a course builder for individual classes for people who have had very little or very bad education here in Peru. I want to provide people who have knowledge/experience to share, but don't really know HOW to share it, with a course builder that would work for those with little education.
ReplyDeleteAs far as I can see on brief acquaintance, Teacher Dashboard IS usable for a non-institutional site, i.e. a conglomeration of teachers from hither and yon who nonetheless have similar desires to help other folks who can't afford prime post high-school educations.
And at $4/pupil, even municipalities here who want to help learning in their communities might be able to use this. VERY interesting podcast. It would be great if Jan were to put together a page on all the innovative techniques he referred to that folks all around the world are coming up with!
I am interested in what you mean by course builder. Are you thinking something like a using Haiku, which will allow you to build your course online, and then have others take it.
